An inmate from the Aix-Luynes penitentiary center (Bouches-du-Rhône) escaped on Tuesday. The detainee was in a release support structure (SAS), i.e.
a lighter detention regime. He was convicted of several traffic offenses, but also rebellion and drug trafficking. The escape seems to have been planned in advance: the man would have taken advantage of a break to escape, and get into a vehicle that was waiting for him before fleeing.
