An inmate from La Santé prison escaped on Wednesday, the Créteil prosecutor's office said. He was in the specially equipped hospital unit in Villejuif (Val-de-Marne), dependent on the Fresnes penitentiary center.
The man was in pre-trial detention for extortion with a weapon, attempted extortion, rape and violence. FO Justice pointed the finger at the “security” around this detainee and requested “a security audit”.
