Darmanin requested the withdrawal of the residence permit of a Tunisian imam after anti-France preaching. The comments made by Mahjoub Mahjoubi were the subject of a report by the prefect of Gardn on the instructions of the Minister of the Interior.
“On my instructions, the remarks of this imam were thesubject of a. report this week to the public prosecutor, confirmed Gérald Darmanin on his X account. I requested the. withdrawal of his title of residence with a view to his expulsion from the territory,” he said.
