A fire broke out on Saturday morning in a building at an agricultural high school in Coulounieix-Chamiers (Dordogne) Around 800 ducklings were inside the building, which served as storage space. They all died in the fire or were poisoned.

Around ten drums of fuel oil were stored inside and around 200 liters were burned. Around thirty firefighters were mobilized to put out the fire. Around 80% of the 700m² building was damaged. The causes of the fire are currently unknown.
