Four pallets containing 75 boxes filled with counterfeit dollars were discovered during searches. The counterfeit notes allegedly came from a “wholesaler in Turkey,” who stored the notes in Germany for shipment to the United States.
The 42-year-old man suspected of having “already exported counterfeit currency to the U.S.” is now under investigation by the prosecution for counterfeiting. The manufacture, supply, and circulation of these counterfeit notes constitute offenses, the police said.
