Giant Navigo pass scam: 30 months in prison required for two lieutenants of the network. Two Egyptians were tried this Wednesday, on appeal, for this 29 million euro scam which allowed tens of thousands of people to buy Navigo passes.
The principle is simple: you give 150 euros per year in cash to someone and they get you a Navigo Pass for only 18.80 euros per month instead of 75.20 euros. The investigation, led by police officers from the organized crime department, opened in February 2022 while “good deals” flourished on social networks.
