The Honda importer will pay NIS 2.5 million to buyers in a class action lawsuit by buyers who were required to change oil at a rate that is no longer common in modern vehicles. The settlement agreement states that the vehicles currently marketed by the company do not need oil changes with such frequency.

4,661 owners of Civic 1.5 and 1 liter turbo gasoline or CR-V with the same engine, manufactured between 2017 and 2021, and Civic Type R models manufactured in 2022-2023. Each of the vehicle owners will be entitled to one free oil change at one of the service centers wholly or partially owned by the Meir company, to an 80% discount on a change at a service center that is not wholly or partial owned by Meir. The Prosecutor Guy Cohen will receive NIS 78,750,000 and his lawyers - NIS 315,000. Meir was represented by lawyers Dror Kedem and Roi Delah. The amount to be paid to the company: NIS2.5m.
