Jean Lupu affair, the antiquarian forger: “This case is closely watched by the entire art market”. The prosecution demanded a fine of 500,000 euros against the widow of Jean Lupu, this antique dealer who allegedly sold fake 18th century furniture.

Justice will then look into a similar case, that of the “forgeries of the Palace of Versailles”, still under investigation. The Lupu deliberations will be delivered on April 22, the court announced, Monday February 26.
