The 100% electric Vision EQXX concept from Mercedes with a Cd of 0.17 also dispelled the taboo of the Arabian desert in a journey of over 1000 km from Riyadh to Dubai. Along a route that included busy city streets and open desert, with temperatures up to 34 degrees Celsius, the futuristic battery-powered car achieved a consumption of 7.4 kWh/100 km, which equates to around 0.9 l/100km for a petrol vehicle.
On its third journey, Vision EQ XX arrived at its destination with still 309 kilometers of autonomy, demonstrating for the third time its ability to travel over 1,000 kilometers on a single charge.
