A man was arrested and taken into police custody after attacking two passengers of a TER with a knife this Tuesday. The attacker had notably targeted a woman on board a train linking Strasbourg to Basel, in Switzerland.
The latter was carrying, in her arms, her six-month-old baby who was crying. The man then came to see her, asking her to stop her child's moaning, insulting her and threatening her with death. The partner of the targeted woman intervened against the alleged attacker, and was also stabbed to both cheeks and the back of the head.
