Record Portuguese GP for Pirelli - Two Wheels tyres. In Moto2 Fermín Aldeguer set the new race record lap of 1'42.221 on the eleventh lap, improving Remy Gardner's 2020 record by almost 3 tenths (1'42'504) and also the overall race time improved slightly compared to last year.
On the Moto3 grid we have seen various combinations regarding tire choice. Of the three riders on the podium, the winner Daniel Holgado used the medium SC2 solution for both axles. Jose Antonio Rueda instead chose the soft SC1 both front and rear. Ivan Ortola (MT Helmets - MSI/KTM), third, opted for SC2 at the front and SC1 at the rear.
