Sister of inmate who died in prison files a complaint and accuses the guards of being “responsible”. Eddy Gana died on February 4 at Roanne hospital where he had been taken the previous night by emergency services in a state of brain death.
He had been placed in solitary confinement following a fight with another inmate. He did not benefit from any particular monitoring because he was not declared suicidal, according to union sources and AP management. The Roanne public prosecutor's office indicated that it "will be joined to the ongoing investigation into the causes of death"
