Dieter Bohlen rose to fame as a member of the pop duo Modern Talking in the 1980s. He is responsible for hits such as "Brother Louie", "You're My Heart, You're My Soul" and "Cheri, Cheri Lady" Bohlen was chosen to judge in the reality shows Deutschland sucht den Superstar (the German version of "American Idol") and Das Supertalent.
He also wrote songs for some of the winners, many of which reached number one on the charts.
