The artist and photographer Ariela Shabid passed away at the age of 80. Shebid worked in the 1970s and 1980s as a photojournalist and she especially stood out in the portrait photographs of the stars of that time.
In 1996, her solo exhibition "Beauty is a promise of happiness" (curated by Leah Dobb) was presented at the Israel Museum. She was the mother of the presenter and director Ido Rosenblum and the writer Amalia Rosen Blum.
