The family of Brian Wilson, the lead singer of the Beach Boys, reveals: he suffers from dementia. The family asked a Los Angeles court to grant guardianship of the 81-year-old musician.

Wilson is "unable to adequately meet his personal physical health needs" and is taking anti-dementia medication. Melinda Wilson, Brian's wife who was his primary caregiver, passed away on January 30, 2024 at the age of 77. The two were married for 28 years.
