A Palestinian flag was affixed to the Star of David pendant of the late singer Amy Winehouse. The sticker was identified as belonging to the pro-Palestinian organization Friends of Al Aqsa.
The statue was placed in place in 2014, three years after Winehouse's tragic death. It was created by British artist Scott Eaton, as a tribute to the Jewish singer who died in her home near Camden Square due to alcohol poisoning on July 23, 2011. "People like to come there to take pictures with him," the employee told the Jewish Chronicle website.
