Toyota extends production ban after diesel scandal. The shutdown of six production lines at four plants in central Japan will remain in force until the Japanese Ministry of Transportation gives the green light.

Toyota Industries Corp admitted in late January that it had falsified data on the diesel engines it makes and supplies for the world's largest automaker. The car company anticipated that it will decide on Thursday whether or not it will be able to resume production starting from February 12th. The blockade involves models such as the Land Cruiser and the Hiace.
