Turquin case: acquittal for the prosecutor sued for defamation by the widow of the deceased. Xavier Bonhomme, former public prosecutor of Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe), was accused by Nadine Turquin of having “crucified” her when he was public prosecutor.

In its judgment rendered on February 2, the court acquitted him, after noting in particular that it was impossible to know precisely the content of his statements. During the debates, even if he admitted to “clumsiness”, Xavier BonHomme argued for his good faith.
