Volkswagen announces investments of 1.7 billion in Brazil. New industrial plan mainly includes the production of hybrid cars.
Volkswagen revealed that it will launch 16 models by 2028. Production of electric vehicles in the country is expected to be delayed until the end of the decade, as it depends on a supply chain not yet prepared for the demand. With the planned allocations, Volkswagen becomes the car manufacturer with the largest investment in Brazil in the post-pandemic period, after having recorded a growth in sales volume of 29.5% in 2023.
