- Vigili del Fuoco (@emergenzavvf) October 21, 2019The roof of the building was therefore caught fire. At least a quarter of the construction had been destroyed by the flames, a part of the roof had collapsed. The authorities shut down the area, as the newspaper "La Repubblica" reports.
The cause of the fire is unclear. So far, there are no reports of injuries, the building should have been empty in recent years. The UN cultural organization Unesco has awarded the Cavallerizza Reale the status of a World Heritage Site.
