Out of lovesickness an 18-year-old should have broken into the prison (JVA) Vechta. The young man had talked to his detained ex-girlfriend and wanted to win her back, said a spokeswoman for the prison.
As it became known, the incident happened last week. The 18-year-old had therefore only shortly before separated by telephone from him.
He had first climbed over a four-meter-high wall and then over the barred windows to the woman's cell. According to the spokeswoman, employees of the prison had turned the man on. But since he refused to climb down again, the fire department had to bring him down by ladder.
He was now being investigated for trespassing and the unauthorized contact with prisoners. In the burglary, the man had easily injured. Whether he could win back through the action of his ex-girlfriend is not known.
