(ANSA) - PALERMO, MAY 18 - Sicily by Car and the Italian Red Cross have entered into an important agreement to guarantee greater mobility of volunteer resources throughout the country. In this moment of emergency, CRI activities have intensified, adapting to new needs to offer support and assistance to the most vulnerable people. In all of Italy, the CRI committees have activated a series of services to support lonely elderly people, fragile or immune-depressed people: home shopping, delivery of medicines and goods of primary necessity, medical transport, thanks to the relentless activity of thousands of CRI Volunteers who have always been close to piùvulnerabili.
To support CRI activities, Sicily by Car will provide 30 stationwagon cars and two vans for 30 days free of charge. The vehicles will be delivered to various Sicily by Car offices located throughout the peninsula, and will serve to implement the availability of vehicles made available by the National Committee of the CRI with other operators in the sector.
