Berlin (dpa / tmn) - To keep mosquitoes and other insects out of the apartment, we recommend insect screens on the windows. This is what the German Pest Control Association advises.
What many do not know: Moths in particular are attracted by light in the evening hours. But the annoying mosquito is not necessarily based on lamps and lights, but rather on human smells.
Of course, once a mosquito is in the room you can try to catch it yourself. However, electric fly traps with adhesive surfaces promise more success, explains the association.
Anyone who is struggling with a wasp nest or a serious ant infestation should not go into battle themselves. In the case of ants and wasps, the association recommends commissioning certified pest controllers who can determine the infestation and, if necessary, eliminate it. The costs for this should be compared beforehand.
