Both shoulders dislocated during a parachute jump - emergency mechanism saves Springerin

In Upper Bavaria, a 25-year-old could not open her parachute after she dislocated both shoulders during the flight. Even so, she was only slightly injured.

Because she dislocated both shoulders during her jump, a parachutist landed quite roughly in Upper Bavaria.

"She couldn't open her parachute herself," said a police spokesman.

Several local media had previously reported on the case.

The woman was said to have got out of a small plane at an altitude of 3,000 meters for her jump.

Then during the jump she dislocated her shoulders.

As a result, she was unable to open the parachute - the parachute's emergency mechanism was then automatically triggered at a height of about 250 meters.

The 25-year-old was no longer able to control the flight and, above all, the interception curve before landing.

She hit the ground on Saturday evening in Burgheim north of Augsburg with an increased rate of descent.

A helicopter took the young woman to a hospital, but she was not seriously injured.
