This Parisian photographer, passionate about the works of the artist Invader which adorn the facades of buildings and sometimes the asphalt, reproduces them

Invader, one of the most renowned street artists in the world, is also the most targeted by theft and damage.

Under his control, his fans can replace missing works identically.

For the happiness of a community which “hunts” its mosaics around the world, in particular via the Flash Invader application.

We followed Lionel for a morning, fascinated by the work of the French artist in one of his “reactivations”.

That day, armed with a kitchen torch, a spatula and putty, he reinstalled “Oil”, a small room in black and white mosaic, in the asphalt of the 11th arrondissement.

“There is a whole protocol.

First, Invader and his teams must validate the part that we decide to reproduce ... And then there is a revalidation again once the part is placed.

», Explains Lionel, who« reactivates »these small mosaic creatures since 2014.

This activity is not legal but the Parisian police are tolerant when they meet Lionel melting the asphalt to stick a piece of Invader on it.
