The new regulations, which are to apply across Germany from November 2nd, now restrict this again.
From the reference date,
contact with members of your own household and one other household is allowed
for an initial four weeks

But what about staying in the apartment?
When asked by the online portal myHomebook, attorney Wilhelm Achelpöhler from the German Bar Association explains: "I do not understand this agreement to mean that apart from meetings in public, all private meetings are to be banned." It is also said that “groups of people partying in public places, in apartments and in private facilities” are unacceptable.
Visiting relatives and friends is therefore not prohibited - as long as the number of households and people is not exceeded - but not advisable.
Violations of the contact restrictions are sanctioned by the regulatory authorities.
At the same time, citizens now have to wait and see how the individual countries implement the decision of October 28 in their respective ordinances.
Here again there can be differences in the wording.
Prime Minister Markus Söder stated, for example, that the regulation on contact restrictions in Bavaria also applies to
private areas
.
That means: a maximum of ten people and only two households in a private apartment.
