Around ten years ago, Hollywood super producer Jerry Bruckheimer gave an interview in Barcelona about his upcoming projects.
The most lavish film he was currently planning was the western "Lone Ranger".
Bruckheimer was still in the process of negotiating the budget with the studio, but it would definitely be more than $ 200 million.
A risky game?
Bruckheimer could only grin at this question: "Not when Johnny Depp is there."
When "Lone Ranger" hit theaters in 2013, the film was one of the most spectacular flops of the year.
That was when the decline of superstar Depp, who was considered one of the most talented actors of his generation in the 1990s, was one of the most commercially successful actors in Hollywood for several years from 2003 with the "Pirates of the Caribbean" series and was celebrated like a savior.
