She was born 24 years ago in Miami from an Anglo-Spanish mother and a Scottish-Argentine father, so a nice mix!

Six years from Buenos Aires she moved to London where she grew up and studied ballet.

At the age of 16 she was discovered walking outside Harrods in London by Sarah Doukas of the Storm modeling agency.

So she began her career as a model but her dream was to become an actress.

His starring debut is in the 2015 horror film The Witch which premiered at Sundance.

Among the few things still on his resume the role of Magik in the film The New Mutants, based on the New Mutants comics and chapter of the X-Men franchise.

In 2016 he starred in the film Split, directed by M. Night Shyamalan.

Three years later, in 2019, she reprises her role as Casey in the film Glass, the final chapter of Shyamalan's thriller triology Eastrail 177.

In 2017 she was nominated for the BAFTA, the English Oscar, best emerging star and a similar award at Cannes, the Trophée Chopard.

But it is in 2020 that she becomes popular playing Emma Woodhouse in the new version of

Emma

, from the novel by Jane Austen, here directed by Autumn de Wilde.

And in late October it is

The Queen of Chess

(Queen's Gambit): the young Beth Harmon, who grew up in an orphanage in Kentucky in the late '50s, he discovers he has an incredible passion and micidale talent for the game of chess.

For his interpretation of the series, from the novel by Walter Tevis directed by Scott Frank, he received incredible praise from critics and popularity.

She is just perfect.

Before the film he knew nothing about chess, every single move (and there are tons of games) was choreographed by chess consultants Garry Kasparov and Bruce Pandolfini.

Telling a story from the 1950s to the 1970s, Beth Harmon's look is also vintage: costumes and sets are among the notable things about this production.

In the cast Marielle Heller,

Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Moses Ingram, Harry Melling and Bill Cam.

Where will we see it?

She will be the protagonist of the new spin off of the Mad Max saga in the role of Furiosa, a role that has already been played in the adult version by Charleze Theron.

And then again in Last Night in Soho to be released in 2021, The Northman, Weetzie Bat and The Sea Change.
