The improvement on the coronavirus front continues in France.
Some 12,923 new cases of Covid-19 have been identified in the last 24 hours in France, of which 2,419 have been diagnosed by antigenic tests and 10,504 cases by PCR test.
The day before, that total figure stood at 11,221 people who tested positive.
The test positivity rate is currently 10.7%.
The health authorities also record 216 additional deaths due to Covid-19, against 284 on Friday.
In total, 54,981 people have died from Covid-19 since the start of the epidemic in France, including 37,822 in hospitals.
Another 3,220 patients in intensive care
In the last 24 hours, 125 people have been admitted to intensive care for a total number of patients which stood at 3,220 on Saturday, against 3,283 on Friday.
A total of 26,040 patients are currently hospitalized in France for a SARS-CoV-2 infection, including 1,019 in the last 24 hours.
Finally, Public Health France has identified 3,240 sources of contamination, including 1,422 in nursing homes.
