(ANSA) - ROME, JANUARY 04 - New restrictions in Catalonia starting from 7 January after the relative truce of the Christmas period. The Catalan government - writes the Vanguardia - has approved a 10-day lockdown which provides for restrictions on mobility between municipalities, the closure of shopping centers and the opening, on weekends, of only essential goods stores. This was announced by the Minister of Health, AlbaVergés, who supported the need for these new measures "to further reduce social contacts and try to keep the virus at bay".
Vergés announced that schools, as planned, will open on Monday 11, although extra-curricular activities will be banned. Physical activity is allowed only outdoors. (HANDLE).
