From adventures to adventures, from confinement to confinement, Serge Lama is once again forced to postpone the great farewell tour he had promised to lovers of his songs.
In a press release published on his official website, the singer of Les
P'tites femmes de Pigalle
, in agreement with his producers Luana Santonino and Gilbert Coullier, has decided to postpone, not to the Greek calendar, but to an unfortunately unforeseeable date his final tour of song in France and Navarre, titled,
Adieu chère province
.

In this message addressed to his (still very) numerous admirers, we feel that for Serge Lama this umpteenth setback is a real heartbreak: “
It is with great emotion and sadness that I made this difficult decision.
I sincerely regret not being able to say goodbye to my audience and to all the people who have followed and supported me for decades on stage.
But given the scale of the health crisis and my physical handicap that I have been assuming for more than 50 years now, I cannot predict my ability to perform on stage at the end of the year, in 2022, or even in 2023 if the sanitary conditions were to require me to postpone again.

The faithful of the blessed time of the catchphrase and its formidable interpreter will still see a hint of optimism in this new forced cancellation.
Serge Lama, at the end of his statement gives birth, despite everything, a glimmer of hope: “
I am currently thinking about another way of saying goodbye to my loyal audience.
Rest assured, I have not said my last word.
"
The lyricist inspired by the Parisian banter with his wives from Pigalle with whom he stripped the flowers of evil, the desperate lover of the superb song
Je suis sick
, will celebrate his 78th birthday on February 11.
In 2023, he will therefore be 80 years old.
A date that will allow him - his admirers are sure - to find those "
to whom he owes his career
" as he had recalled last year.
