(ANSA) - PERUGIA, 01 FEB - "Mandatory" indications to adopt measures to limit Covid infections, which include, among other things, the suspension of face-to-face lessons in all schools, were given by the Hygiene and Public-Territorial Health Service to 31 Umbrian municipalities , almost all of the province of Perugia, which have a higher incidence of cases.
The Anci announced it at the end of today's meeting.
The ordinances must be adopted by the individual Municipalities which will also establish the effective date.
In the letter from the ISP - reports Anci Umbria - we read that "in consideration of the progressive spread of Covid-19 on the territory, taking into account that this diffusion causes a serious risk to public health, the issuance of a contingent and urgent order provision aimed at adoption of measures to contain the spread of Covid-19 ", including, in fact, the suspension of teaching activities.
The meeting was also attended by the regional director of Health Claudio Dario and the Commissioner for the emergency Covid Massimo D'Angelo, who reiterated "the need for measures also for preventive purposes, considering the very high rate of propagation of the infection".
"The mayors - comments the acting president of AnciUmbria, Michele Toniaccini - have highlighted that if the epidemiological conditions allow it, and in agreement with the local health authorities, it will be possible to proceed with a review of the provision. In addition, it was also asked that there are more controls on the territories in order not to nullify the restrictive measures adopted with a great sense of responsibility and with a spirit of collaboration between different bodies and institutions, with the sole interest of protecting the health of citizens ".
The municipalities involved are Gubbio, Magione, Passignano sulTrasimeno, Tuoro sul Trasimeno, Piegaro, Città della Pieve, Panicale, Castiglione del Lago, Fratta Todina, Deruta, Collazzone, Marsciano, San Venanzo, Torgiano, Perugia, Corciano, Bevagna, Montefalco, Valtopina , Foligno, Spello, Sellano, NoceraUmbra, Gualdo Cattaneo, Trevi, Calvi dell'Umbria, Amelia, Lugnano in Teverina, Attigliano, Giano dell'Umbria and Montegabbione.
