Auckland is back in lockdown, now feared for the regular start of the America's Cup final between Luna Rossa and Team New Zealand.
The first minister Jacinda Arden has indeed announced a new block (level 3) for the city of Auckland starting tomorrow and for a week: a decision that could jeopardize the start of the challenge according to the established program, with the first regatta set for March 6.
The organizers of the America's Cup immediately made it known that they were closely following the evolution of the situation. "In the next few days we will work with the relevant authorities and agencies to resolve the implications. Further updates are on the way" says America's Cup with a note. (HANDLE).
