The Ministry of Health reported 5,058 new cases of coronavirus on Monday and 241 deaths reported in the last 24 hours in the country.
In this way, Argentina reached
2,154,694
confirmed infections since the beginning of the pandemic, after the first case of Covid-19 was detected in the first days of March last year.
This Monday, according to official data, 150,033 patients are suffering from the disease, while 3,484 are hospitalized in intensive care.
After the lowest number of fatalities in 9 months (10) was reported on Monday, this Monday the report reported 241 deaths nationwide.
More than half, 130, had residence in the Province of Buenos Aires.
With these data, there are already 53,121 deaths from the pandemic in the country.
Meanwhile, following the vaccination plan, the different provinces and CABA began to receive a total of 375,805 doses of the second component of the Sputnik V vaccine, in order to complete the schedules.
As reported by the Presidency, the Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, explained that "the delivery of the doses began to logistically prepare this Sunday to be sent, starting tomorrow, to each of the established destinations."
Thus, "added to the batch of 406,800 Chinese Sinopharm vaccines that arrived in recent days and the 2,972,260 registered this afternoon in the Public Monitor, the distributed doses are close to 3.5 million," he added.
The vaccines will be distributed between the provinces on Tuesday and Wednesday in a proportional manner.
Taking into account the criteria of the Ministry of Health according to the population of each district, the distribution of the Sputnik V dose 2 vaccines will be as follows:
