Discovered an abandoned mall under her vacation apartment (TikTok / claire.scheulin)
More than once we have come across on the net stories about airbnb apartments that contained less exciting surprises for those staying in them, but this probably surpasses them all.
Tiktok user shared in the video the moment she discovered that the basement of the airbnb apartment she rented, apparently in Florida, leads to an abandoned and creepy mall - which looks like a customer from a scene in the "Strange Things" series.
Claire Schweilen posted a series of videos on Tiktok, when Rishon introduced her first visit to the mall and wrote: "This is how it is when your airbnb has an abandoned mall in the basement."
She also added slow and disturbing music to a video that only made the whole situation more scary.
Aside from the abandoned mall, she featured a long hallway with carpeted floors leading to her apartment, which viewers have already compared to the hotel from "The Spark."
In the sequels she also showed the elevators, escalators and empty shops that were used by visitors in the distant past.

When viewers asked for more details about the abandoned mall, Claire made it clear that she would only publish the full details of the place after she left.
However, another video revealed that the mall is not completely abandoned - as one of the cafes is in an open space and even has diners.
Viewers assumed that the shopping center is located below the apartment complex and that while most of them are abandoned, some of the apartments are still staffed which is why the local cafe is still operating.

The original video garnered over 7 million views and tens of thousands of comments.
"You're in the third season of 'Strange Things,'" one wrote in comments, and another added, "It looks like a horror movie client. So many people must have been murdered there."
Another wrote that he knew the place and that it had been used as a hospital during World War II before it became a mall, but his things could not be verified.
Another suggested: "In the airbnb ad I would add the benefits: 'a perfect place to play hide-and-seek.'"
