The Government of the Province of Buenos Aires announced that starting next week it will begin to vaccinate against the coronavirus to people between

18 and 40 years old who belong to risk groups

.

This was stated by the Minister of Health, Daniel Gollan, who highlighted the amount of vaccines that are arriving in Argentina, after almost 1.5 million doses of Sputnik V and AstraZeneca will arrive in the country.

"Next week we will be finishing vaccinating those over 40 years of age with comorbidities and

we are going to begin vaccinating people between 18 and 40 years of age with comorbidities,

" said the Buenos Aires official in dialogue with radio El Uncover.

On Tuesday, Clarín announced that the arrival of flights with vaccines generated expectations in the Buenos Aires health authorities, who assured that they could begin to immunize people between 18 and 40 years old with risky diseases before the end of June.

This Thursday, Minister Gollán confirmed it, who said that with the amount of doses that are entering the country, they will be able to give a significant number of shifts in the coming days.

Daniel Gollán is enthusiastic about the vaccination campaign in the Province, as new doses arrive in the country.

"By the end of June

we are going to have 6 or 7 million Buenos Aires vaccinated with a single dose

, which was our objective," said the Buenos Aires minister during the report.

The people who can sign up to be inoculated are those considered at risk patients, who have a history of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic lung disease, chronic kidney disease, obesity, pregnant women and people with HIV.

The government of Axel Kicillof foresees that 100% of the second doses of Sinopharm and the total of the second doses of AstraZeneca will also be applied.

The authorities rush the immunization process with the arrival of a batch of 843 thousand doses from the US, together with the arrival of Sputnik V from Moscow.

The acceleration in the acquisition of immunizers will make it possible to advance the beginning of the so-called “Milestone 3”, which includes people aged 18 to 39 with comorbidities;

over 40 without comorbidities and the rest of the teachers (52% are already vaccinated) and complete the Security personnel (they go for 32%).

Of that total, 898 thousand people already have the two doses.
