(ANSA) - NEW YORK, JUNE 12 - The family of Alton Sterling, an African American killed by a white police officer in Baton Rouge in Louisiana in 2016, has reached an agreement and plea bargain with the city.
Sterling's five children will receive 4.5 million.
"The plea deal will allow the city to heal as well as offer financial stability to the family," Sterling's lawyers say.
