Actress Lisa Banes dies at 65 after being hit by two-wheeler in New York

The Gone Girl actress suffered from a head trauma after an accident on June 4. The driver who knocked him down is still on the run.


American actress Lisa Banes, best known for her role in the movie

Gone Girl

, has died 10 days after being hit by a two-wheeler in Manhattan.

The 65-year-old actress took her last breath in the hospital Monday, following the accident on June 4, near the Lincoln Center cultural center, said a spokesman for the New York police.

She suffered a head trauma after a two-wheeler burned a red light as she entered to cross the street.

The local police were not able to specify what type of device was involved.

An investigation is underway, but no arrests have yet been made, the spokesperson said.
