At least 43 migrants drowned in a shipwreck off Tunisia as they attempted to cross the Mediterranean from Libya to Italy.
Another 84 were saved, the Tunisian Red Crescent reports according to Reuters on its website.
The boat left Zuwara, on the northwestern coast of Libya, with migrants on board from Egypt, Sudan, Eritrea and Bangladesh, explains the humanitarian organization.
14 bodies of migrants on the beach of Zawia in Libya
Fourteen bodies of migrants were found on the beach of Zawia in Libya. This was reported by IOM spokesperson Safa Msehli on Twitter. "So far, between yesterday and today, the bodies of 14 people have been recovered, including a child and a woman". "A sad reminder that many people drown in the Mediterranean in invisible shipwrecks, in the absence of an effective and responsible state search and rescue", Msehli underlines.
