Former US actress Bo Derek has married for the second time.

Her long-time partner, actor John Corbett, announced this on Tuesday on the US talk show "The Talk" - a good six months after the secret wedding.

They kept it under lock and key at the time, only closest friends and family were privy to it, said the 60-year-old Corbett.

For the first time, they would tell about it publicly.

After 20 years together, they got married around Christmas in order to win at least "a nice thing" from the pandemic year 2020, the actor said.

Derek's spokesman team confirmed the information according to the US magazine "People".

The couple has been together since 2002.

Bo Derek, 64, stood in front of the camera as a beach beauty with Rasta pigtails for director Edward Blake in "Ten - The Dream Woman" (1979) - and suddenly became famous.

In terms of film, however, she hardly had any great successes afterwards.

In the mid-1970s she married actor and director John Derek.

The marriage with the ex-husband of Ursula Andress and Linda Evans lasted until his death in 1998.

About her image as a “sex bomb” she once said that it was like work clothes: “You wear them when you have to.

And it's really helpful when I want to get into conversation with someone at a party. "

John Corbett was seen in the film "My Big Fat Greek Wedding".

In the cult series "Sex and the City" he played the role of Aidan Shaw.
