(ANSA) - ROME, 01 SEPT - The Prime Minister, Mario Draghi, had a telephone conversation this afternoon with the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres.
The discussion focused mainly on the latest developments and the implications of the Afghan crisis.
In this context, the prospects for the action of the international community in the various fora, including the G20, were deepened, agreeing on the central role that the United Nations can play in relation, above all, to humanitarian assistance for the Afghan population.
