In the aftermath of the national homage to the sacred monster of French cinema, Jean-Paul Belmondo, family and closest friends, including actor Alain Delon, gathered this morning for a private funeral in the church of Saint-Germain-des-Près, the oldest in Paris. "He never ceased to seek happiness but also to give it," said Victor Belmondo, one of his grandchildren, who also became an actor.
