For the second consecutive year, the winners of the Nobel Prizes in science and literature will receive their awards in their countries of residence and not in Stockholm, due to the Covid pandemic.
This was announced by the Nobel Foundation.
The Nobel Peace Prize, which is usually awarded in Oslo, "remains open" this possibility.
A decision will be made in mid-October.
Nobel laureates are announced in early October but usually awarded during ceremonies held in the two Scandinavian capitals on December 10, the anniversary of the death of their founder, Alfred Nobel (1833-1896).
