. Arrested on November 3 on charges of "
rape
",
"sexual assault on a minor" and "abuse of weakness",
he was indicted and remanded in custody after 48 hours in police custody. He was also placed under the status of assisted witness for acts of
“possession of child pornography images”.
The singer is implicated by two young women who were 15 and 16 years old at the time of the events.
Since Friday, November 5, he has been sleeping in the Paris Health Prison.

One of the two plaintiffs in the current procedure was already one of the accusers when the singer was sentenced for similar facts in 2015. At the time, Jean-Luc Lahaye was tried for
“aggravated minor corruption”
,
“sexual proposition to minor under the age of fifteen
”, and“
possession of child pornography images.
At the end of the trial, he was sentenced to a one-year suspended prison sentence, only for the corruption of minors.

The three associations had already joined as a civil party during this first trial.
In the columns of Le Parisien, the president of the
Voice of the Child,
Martine Brousse, recalls that her association had at that time
"a presumption of sexual violence much more important than simple corruption of minors".
An opinion shared by Nathalie Bucquet, the lawyer for the plaintiffs during this first trial, and now in charge of the defense of the association
Innocence in danger.
"Obviously, he was not aware of the extremely serious nature of the facts with which he is accused",
she lamented at the microphone of Europe 1.
A long history of legal disputes
In addition to Jean-Luc Lahaye, three other people were taken into custody last Wednesday.
The singer's daughter first, accused of
"witness subordination"
and
"complicity in rape".
She allegedly pressured the two accusers to prevent them from testifying.
The mothers of the two young women then, for facts of
"non-denunciation of crimes"
and
"complicity in rape on a minor under 15 years"
.
The three women involved were released at the end of their custody.
The first conviction of the sixty-year-old for sexual abuse dates back to 2007. The Paris Criminal Court had then sentenced him to a fine of 10,000 euros, for "
sexual assault on a minor under 15
".
