(ANSA) - PARIS, NOVEMBER 24 - At least 5 people died in the sinking of a boat off the coast of Calais, on the English Channel.
This was announced by the French Ministry of the Interior.
These were immigrants headed from France to Great Britain.
According to the Ministry of the Interior, "around 2 pm a fisherman reported the discovery of about fifteen bodies floating off Calais. A ship of the National Navy fished out several bodies, five of which were deceased and five were unconscious, according to a report. provisional".
The Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, is on his way to the site.
