(ANSA) - PARIS, NOV 26 - The archbishop of Paris, Michel Aupetit, offered his resignation to Pope Francis, following the revelations of the weekly Le Point on an alleged love story with a woman in 2012. The diocese of Paris acknowledges that the he high prelate had "ambiguous behavior" with a woman at the time.
In the letter to the Pope, which according to LeFigaro arrived in Rome yesterday, Aupetit proposes "to the Pope to resign".
Only the Pontiff can decide whether to accept them or not.
