The Directorate of Education in Damascus, in cooperation with the Directorate of Culture and the Regional Office of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO, today started training 120 teachers within the framework of the alternative learning program for youth outside school, at the Al-Basel Center for Rehabilitation and Training in Rukn Al-Din in Damascus.
The program aims to introduce how to deal and teach young people, and it includes the foundations of adult education and various activities related to teaching strategies, according to the Director of Damascus Education Suleiman Younes, who explained in a statement to the SANA delegate that the course is based on the application of an integrative approach in training so that the trainees, in turn, train the age groups from 15 to 24 years To improve reading skills
writing and arithmetic.
In turn, the Director of the National Center for the Development of Educational Curricula, Dr. Nadia Al-Ghazouli, indicated that the course aims to develop the competencies of adult trainers from the youth category and to link between theoretical and practical training concepts in various topics and tasks supporting the education process and educational tasks in the classroom.
