The assistant sergeant Víctor Isasi Flecha died on Monday night of the consequences of "puncture injuries": In Paraguay, the 42-year-old soldier died while serving in the presidential residence in Asunción after a deer attacked him.
The animal had stuck its antlers in the man's chest, as reported by several media outlets, including “Ultima Hora”.
The deer comes from India and was a gift to the President, as it was called from the Ministry of the Environment.
Víctor Urdapilleta, an infantry spokesman, told ABC that surveillance cameras recorded the attack.
Accordingly, whitefish apparently made a hectic movement with the hand before the deer attacked him.
There had never been an accident like this before.
The animals are kept in a restricted area and have no routine contact with visitors to the residence.
The man's family is now to be compensated.
