Low-carb lasagne: How to make the classic healthier

  • Peel the

    kohlrabi

    .

There shouldn't be any leftover peel left, as it tastes bitter.

Then cut the kohlrabi into slices about 2 mm thick.

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Add the kohlrabi slices and let them simmer for about 10 minutes.

    Then drain in a colander.

  • Dice the onion - you can do it very quickly with this trick - and sweat it in a pan with a little oil.

Add the minced meat and sauté for about 10 minutes.

    Season with salt and pepper.

  • Mix the tomato sauce with the cream cheese and use this sauce to deglaze the minced meat in the pan.

Let the sauce simmer for another 5 minutes, stirring frequently and seasoning to taste.

    Preheat the oven

    to 200 °C top/bottom heat or 180 °C for circulating air.

  • Now for layering the lasagna

: start with a layer of ground beef sauce.

Top with a layer of kohlrabi slices, then more minced meat sauce, kohlrabi, etc. until both are used up.

Finally, spread the crème fraîche on top and sprinkle the lasagne with the cheese.

  • Bake the low carb lasagna in the oven for about

    20-25 minutes

    .

Sprinkle with some oregano to serve.

  • One serving of this

    low-carb lasagne with turnip greens
