Banana boxes, stuffed animals or your own intestines: criminals are becoming more and more creative when it comes to hiding drugs.
Now they have apparently also discovered mouth-nose masks for themselves, which are actually supposed to protect against the corona virus.
According to a report on Saturday, the police at Cologne Central Station stopped two travelers around midnight.
Since the 24 and 25-year-old men could not identify themselves, they were taken to the office, it is said.
There their drug hiding place was exposed: the two men had worked a total of 33 prescription pills into the inside of their mouth and nose masks.
It was not disclosed exactly what kind of active substance it was.
Because they could not produce a prescription for the prescription drugs, the pills were confiscated, police said.
Both men were charged with illegal possession of narcotics.
Before they were allowed to leave the police station, the two men received fresh masks from the officers.
